The Mockingbird Heights Neighborhood Association covers an area from 84th St to 96th St and from L St to Q St. Some of our concerns include ensuring that we live in a clean and safe neighborhood with little to no crime, clean parks and good schools.
In short we want to make sure that this area continues to be a nice place to live for many years to come. The neighborhood association accomplishes this through several means. Not the least of which is volunteer labor. From time to time the association will ask its members to volunteer some time to help in the area. Perhaps by picking up trash in our parks or woods or maybe by helping an older, sick or injured neighbor with a chore that needs to be done.
Also, by acting as a group and inviting elected officials and candidates to our meetings our opinions and concerns can be heard by those that are in a position to effect change. Individually a voice may be small, but as a group we will be heard.
